    front of house engineer (foh)

    General Responsibilities:

    Mixing front of house sound, including audio playback and stage monitoring. Provide direction and assistance to the worship team in set up and tear down, utilizing the service flow sheet for mic placement and input needs.

    Job Description:
    The FOH’s primary focus is the front of house mix as well as onstage monitoring mixes. He/she will be the lead in setup and tear down of stage equipment needed for each event. Mixing should be approached in such a way that it properly enhances instrumentation and vocalization of the worship services. He/she must have a working knowledge of all, audio equipment and processing (training will be provided). The FOH is responsible to the Service Producer, with the freedom to exercise his/her "artistic flavor" within the parameters set by the Service Producer and the Minister of Music.

    broadcast/record audio engineer (RA)

    General Responsibilities:

    Mixing audio for purposes of live web streaming and post-production, including DVD, CD and Sermon Archiving. Utilizing the service flow sheets for timing and input needs.

    Job Description:
    The RA's primary focus is the audio mix being sent to the various recording and broadcasting devices. Mixing should be approached in much the same way as front of house. It should properly enhance instrumentation and vocalization of the worship services. He/she must have a working knowledge of all, audio equipment and processing (training will be provided). The RA is directly responsible to the Director, with the freedom to exercise his/her "artistic flavor" within the parameters set by the Post-Production/Editing Supervisor and Service Producer.

    video operators (vo)

    General Responsibilities:

    Operating all video playback devices, live on-screen controls, and graphics.

    Job Description:

    The primary responsibility of the VO is to operate and manage the Graphics presentation software and video playback devices. Due to the nature of services changing, a working knowledge of the SongShow Plus and PowerPoint Presentation Software is necessary(training will be provided). The VO is responsible to the Service Producer.

    director

    General Responsibilities:

    Provide "shot calling" to camera operators. Control the shading (look) of the cameras. Manage switching from one camera to another.

    Job Description:

    The Director is responsible for the final look of all cameras. He/she is also be responsible for switching from one shot to another at his/her discretion unless otherwise noted by the Service Producer. He/she is directly responsible to the Service Producer.

    camera operators (co)

    General Responsibilities:

    Operate and program cameras shots to be used during services.

    Job Description:

    The CO’s primary responsibility will be to follow the instructions from the director for all camera positions and shots used for services. He/she must have a clear working knowledge of the operating control surface, and a "good eye" for angles and camera shots. The CO is directly responsible to the Director.

    lighting operator (lo)

    General Responsibilities:

    Operate lighting control surfaces for services. Assist Director in focusing fixtures as needed for services.

    Job Description:

    The primary responsibility of the LO is controlling the lighting systems used for services. Program standard presets are already set for most lighting needs, however, a basic knowledge of the control surface is necessary and training will be provided. He/she will also be responsible to assist the Director in the lighting catwalks in the event that a fixture needs to be re-adjusted or focused. The LO is responsible to the Service Producer.

    technical assistants (TA)

    General Responsibilities:

    Assist with setup and tear down of equipment needed for the services. Be “Eyes and Ears” from the stage for the Technical Team.

    Job Description:

    The TA will be involved in all activity that happens on stage. This would include all the audio/video equipment and moving of any stage props if necessary. The TA is a key roll for the FOH. He/she is the “Eyes and Ears” for the FOH on stage, providing a point of communication between the musicians, leaders and the FOH. The TA should maintain communication with the Service Producer regarding cues and placement of all musicians, props and pastoral staff. He/she must have a basic knowledge of audio equipment and staging. The TA is responsible to both the FOH and Service Producer.
