Deaf Ministry

Because we share God's desire that all people of all tongues (languages), all tribes, and all nations worship the risen savior, FBC Brandon welcomes all deaf/hoh people to become active members of the body of Christ.

Deaf/hoh adults find encouragement to grow in their relationship with Jesus through sign-interpreted worship as well as bible studies taught through sign language. Deaf/hoh children enjoy activities designed especially for them every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.

Wednesday Nights

The children and teens who attend the after-school program are encouraged to have mom and/or dad meet them in the FBC dining room for dinner at 5 PM for a time of food, family, friends, and (of course) sign language. Then, after dinner, mom and dad stay for their class (I-pod) while the kids go to a class all their own (Signs & Wonders):

Signs & Wonders 6-7 PM each Wednesday deaf kids and teens gather for a time of Bible stories, activities, and crafts designed specially for the deaf children.

I-pod Class (Intentional Parents Of Deaf) 6-7 PM each Wednesday while the kids are enjoying Signs & Wonders, the parents of these deaf children enjoy a time of refreshment, encouragement from God’s Word, as well as instruction in sign language for use at home with their children.
