Pastor's Corner

September brings us to huge happenings at First Baptist. We have anticipated these events over the past months and have prayerfully prepared for this time. I praise and thank the Lord for the privilege of sharing in these significant and historical moments for our church family.

The first event is the return to the Sanctuary on Sunday, September 12. We will enter the House of the Lord on this exciting day of worship. The work is nearing completion and we should be on schedule for this amazing day of celebration. The Sunday Evening Worship Service will be a Solemn Assembly of Dedication of the Sanctuary and Preparation for the Every Person Revival. This Worship Service will begin at 6pm and it will be a powerful night of worship. Your sacrifice has been greatly blessed and honored by the Lord. I have watched every step of this process and each time I enter the Sanctuary, I am overwhelmed by the beauty and opportunity that Lord has gifted to our church. We will meet in the MAC this Sunday and the next week we will enter the Sanctuary with joy and thanksgiving to the Lord.

The second event is the Every Person Revival. The EPR will be Friday-Sunday, September 17-19. The service times are as follows: Friday@ 7pm, Saturday@ 1pm, Sunday@ 9, 10:30am and 6pm. I am praying for a packed Sanctuary for all the services and that we will experience all that the Lord desires for our personal and corporate lives. It is important that you commit to be in all the services of the weekend and that we invite others to attend with us. Flyers are available around our campus with the information for the revival. You can share this material with others. I cannot imagine a more appropriate way to return to the Sanctuary than with a revival. Mark your calendar and be present throughout the Every Person Revival Weekend.

We will dismiss our Sunday Evening Worship Service this week due to the Labor Day weekend.
